OPUS Graduate Seminars on Populism!

Dear colleagues and friends,

We hope this email finds you all well! As we gear up for the new academic year, we want to cordially invite you to the winter semester edition of OPUS Graduate Seminars on Populism!

Our first meeting will take place on October 11, 2021, at 4:30 pm (CEST). We will start with a brief introduction section where we introduce ourselves and talk a bit about OPUS’s structure, objectives and planned activities.

Then, we will welcome Yomna Elrouby (Sorbonne University) to present her work titled “Constitutional courts and populist regimes: between resistance and complicity”. The presentation will take around 20 minutes and be followed by a discussion and Q&A session with the audience. The discussant for our very first seminar will be Dr. Bruno Castanho Silva (University of Cologne), and the session will be moderated by Ebru Ece Özbey (IMPRS-SPCE).

You may register for the virtual meeting using the following link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the Zoom invitation as well as the draft paper prior to the meeting:https://uni-koeln.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0kf-qqqT8sH9NSVsYGR7xEzLdIR2t8e1aM
